Our History
SFC Chicago took form in January of 1999, with the first service held at Br. James Oommen’s house. It was led by late Rev. P.C. Oommen with a few members. The Church then worshipped in several rental facilities in Illinois. With much prayer, work, & sacrifice, the church began to grow in numbers and God opened the door to purchase a church building in Kenosha in 2004. Our first service was held on March 28, 2004 in the current facility.

Statement of Faith

Statement Of Faith
Holy Bible
This church accepts the sacred words of the 66 Books of the Bible as the inspired revelation of God, as the sheet of anchor of Faith and Eternal Hope, and as the basic creed of the church. The Holy Bible defines the only standard of life for the believer.
God
That the Eternal, True and Holy Trinity is one God existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Sprit.
Man
That the creation of man was in the likeness of God, that he had a great Fall when he transgressed God’s commandment, and that only Jesus Christ, the Son of God, can restore the Fallen Man to his pristine glory.
Repentance
That the fallen man should approach God with true repentance for sins and faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ.
Justification
That the man is justified by faith and the Blood of Christ pardons that guilt.
Sanctification
The Blood of Jesus, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit sanctify the believer.
Regeneration
That the man is born of God through the Holy Sprit and the Word of God.
Water Baptism
In order to become one in Christ, a believer should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit by immersion in water. Through this the believer thus becomes part-takers of the burial and resurrection of Christ.
Separation
That a believer should be separated from sin, sinners, false doctrines, and all kinds of worship contrary to the Bible.
Lord’s Supper
That the Lords’s Supper is to be celebrated regulary till He comes, to commemorate the Death of Christ.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Divine Healing
Since temporal healing is included in the Sacrifice on the Cross by Christ for atonement of sins, a believer should take it as a right and privilege to get bodily healing by prayer and faith.
The Church
That the church is the congregation of believers; its faith and experience should confirm to and stand steadfast in the teaching of the apostles in the New Testament.
Evangelization
Evangelization is the supreme duty and privilage of the church.
Coming of Christ
Jesus Christ is coming soon, and that the Bride, His Church, will be caught up with Jesus in the air.
Great Tribulation
That there is to be a great tribulation on the earth when the Anti-Christ will be in his power, soon after the coming of Christ in the air and the Rapture of the Bride.
The Millennium
That at the end of the tribulation, Jesus will come to earth in all His glory with His saints, and establish His own Kingdom of Righteousness for thousand years.
The Great Judgement
That after the Millennium, Satan and his hosts will be cast forever into the lake of fire. There will be judgement before the Great White Throne for all the wicked who will receive the same punishment.
New Heaven and New Earth
That at the time of the Great judgement, this present earth and heaven will be burned up with fire. After this, a New Heaven and New Earth shall appear.
